We had heard legendary stories about this festival and our business manager, Robert, had hyped it up just enough to get us all excited about it, then came the customary visa related drama, but thanks to the awesome Norwegian embassy in Delhi, that got sorted just in time!

Then Raghu’s work almost cancelled the trip and then the Bombay rains came close to making us miss our flights, but after all that drama, when we finally landed in ‘Alesund’, a small island town a couple of hours north from Oslo, in Norway, it was like we were served a slice of heaven!

Its not unusual, I found out, for people who come to Sommerfesten to go back singing its praises! as you will find us doing. We’ve taken tons of photos and video, but nothing can come close to the feeling of awesomeness that engulfs you when you land in Alesund and Giske, it is a must visit for everyone!
